March 29, 2009 - almost 20 months!

Eddie is finally eating like a big boy!  He has been sick with a double ear infection and has been running a temp of 101-103 for about 3 days now.  Tylenol helps and Dr. Eskridge helped us get on a new antibiotic so that should help.

March 4, 2009 - 19 months!

Eddie finally has his appetite back!  At his weight check last month he weighed 19 1/2 lbs.  He was 30 1/2 inches long.  He's grown in the height department, but not in weight.  He had the flu last month and then has had a really bad cold, so he hasn't had much of an appetite lately.  Hopefully he'll start gaining weight soon.

February 7, 2009 - 18 months!

Eddie is doing well after a week of flu.  He was a puking machine!  He's better now, and is even eating better.  He has started to go to daycare with mommy (which is probably where he picked up the flu).  He is learning how to get along with other babies, but he doesn't mind being away from mommy.  He has really started jabbering.

January 24, 2009

Eddie now has 7 teeth.  His four front teeth all came in at the same time.  Needless to say, it was rough!  He is still gaining away and doing all sorts of fun things.  His favorite thing to do is to do something he knows he shouldn't so that someone will come chase him!  He's such a stinker!  He didn't eat too well this week because of the teeth coming in, but he is drinking very well!

January 17, 2009 - 17 months

Eddie is still developing away, I just wish I could say the same for growing.  He weighs 19 lbs 11 oz.  Which is better, but he still is sooo picky that he doesn't eat all that well all the time.  It's not that he doesn't like food, it that he has to be in the mood for that particular food, and since he can't talk too well, it is extremely difficult to figure out what he wants when he wants it.  We literally have to pull out a plate and put a little spoonful of just about everything we think him might eat and try each thing to see which he will keep in his mouth.  He is too long for his pumpkin seat, but we cannot get a new one until he weighs at least 20 lbs.  He wears 12 month shirts, 6-9 month pants, and size 3-4 shoes.  He loves the couch he got from Aunt Susie, as well as the blocks he got from Aunt Mel.  He loves to bang them on the coffee table (we're starting to get little craters all over it).

December 27, 2008 - 16 months

Eddie had a great Christmas.  He loves the lego wagon Grandpa Don gave him.  His favorite thing to do with it is to dump out all the legos and get inside.  (see pictures)  He is still struggling eating.  He is so picky; not only about what he eats, but when he eats and if he'll want to eat something he usually likes today or not!  It is so frustrating!  We had to reschedule his post op appt with Dr. Neal, because we were expecting bad weather.  Unfortunatley, it never came and I was frustrated because we could have gone, but oh, well!

December 16, 2008 - A little over 16 months

Eddie doesn't weigh as much as we thought.  I forgot that he was getting weighed on different scales.  According to Dr. Eskridge's scale he weighs aprox. 18.5 lbs.  That means he really hasn't gained weight.  We are back to monthly weight checks for Eddie.  He has moved him to finish up his formula only I mix it to 30 calorie instead of the regular 20 calorie.  Then he will go to pediasure to get 30 calories instead of the 20 milk usually provides.  He cannot go to milk because he is not eating enough to get him to gain weight and moving him to milk will take away vitamins he is now getting from the formula and pediasure.  The only thing that doesn't worry us too much is that he is developing and doing new things each and every day so that tells us that he is developing mentally, just not so much size wise!
